San Francisco Ballet's Jordan Hammond is a BJM Advocate and Shares her #GivingTuesday Story

“Before becoming a professional dancer for the SF Ballet Company, I’ve grown up spending hours in the studio since I was 9 years old. My involvement with BJM started when I was  asked to provide feedback on the construction of the dance studio at The Well. I was so thrilled to be able to share my input!

Since then, I’ve witnessed the once concrete space transformed into a beautiful, safe place for the girls of the Tenderloin to discover the gift of dance and to know our Creator who fashioned our bodies to express ourselves through music and dance. It’s a blessing to be a part of this effort and I am convinced that every child, regardless of where they come from,  should have the opportunity to learn and experience dance. And for that, I am so grateful for the work that BJM is doing to bridge that gap and share the love and joy of dance with the community.”
