Special Events

Volunteers help host a number of special events at BJM throughout the year such as the annual Dance Recital, Operation Santa Claus, and fundraising events.  Volunteers can also build awareness through various learning experiences.  These opportunities are available for individuals and small groups.

Ongoing Opportunities

Overview:  Core volunteers invest consistently in the ongoing ministry programs at BJM by serving as program assistants, teachers, mentors, and coaches. Commitments range from weekly & bi-monthly, 6-12 months at a time.  Opportunities best suited for individuals.

Pray

Prayer is the foundation of everything at BJM.  Join the prayer team to receive weekly prayer updates from ministry leaders.  Or join monthly prayer walks that cover all our ministry sites in prayer.  Opportunities for individuals and groups.  Custom events for groups of 10 or more are available.

Prayer

It all starts with prayer!

Prayer is the foundation of all that we do at BJM and prayer is the number one way to volunteer with us!

There are many ways to join our prayer team:

  1. Sign up to recieve a weekly prayer request email update with requests and praises from our weekly staff meetings.

  2. Sign up to attend a prayer walk. These are usually hosted monthly. Check the special events calendar for the next one.

  3. Bring a team! Prayer walks are a great introduction to the Tenderloin and BJM. Schedule a prayer walk for your small group, team, or service organization.

  4. Pray about where you can serve at BJM. Then check out our special events & ongoing opportunities below.
