Looking with Eyes of Faith

Faith & hope are intertwined. In times like these, how do we grow both?

When I think about hope, I am reminded of 2 Corinthians 4:18: “So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” Hope is bigger than what we can see. Hope acknowledges what we feel & see in the moments of pain, then calls us to look to the unseen in faith.

But how do we do that? I’ve been keeping a gratitude journal. I’m celebrating the ways God is already at work, as well as writing the ways I am expecting Him to come through. When we start looking for God in the ordinary things, we begin to see where He’s at work even in the hardest of circumstances. Keeping a record of the ways I see God at work builds my faith & encourages my heart when I need a reminder of His goodness in times of difficulty.

Can you think of ways God has provided for you in this season? Thank Him for it. Then email prayerteam@becausejusticematters.org, & we’ll thank him for it too!
